Executive Director, Holly Simon began the I am who I am mission 10 years ago when she saw the need for awareness for her son and the millions of others born with special abilities. Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others. We take our convictions and turn them into action. Think you would be a good fit? Seventeen years ago when Holly's 5th child was born, the doctors and nurses all said that they were "sorry" at Nathaniel's birth. Instead of the usual celebration that all of her other children received. Holly knew that her son deserved the jubilation. Holly set out to change the way others see children born a bit different. Together with education, awareness, inclusion, acceptance and love we can change the world!
I am who I am is a 501c3 nonprofit foundation that works to change the way the world views people with special needs. By celebrating their unique gifts and abilities from the moment they are born. We support families with a network of peers and resources, and sharing a joyful message of acceptance with school communities, hospitals, churches, and others. I am who I am is on a mission to erase the "sorries" and spread the good news about love and inclusion.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission. We are a 501c3.
